I am so excited to let you know about a visit to Australia by Chris Norman and David Greenberg this November 2015.

 

Chris NORMAN – traditional & early flutes, smallpipes, song

David GREENBERG – Cape Breton fiddle, Baroque violin

 

Chris Norman is internationally-celebrated, multi award-winning traditional and classical flute and smallpipes performer, teacher, maker and recording artist. David Greenberg is acclaimed baroque violinist (formerly of Tafelmusik) and fiddler in the Cape Breton and 18th-century Scottish styles. Chris and David come from Nova Scotia, Canada, where there is a rich tradition and practice of Celtic, Canadian maritime and classical music.

Chris is also Artistic Director of his renowned summer-school, Boxwood Festival. Boxwood Festival is an immersive learning and social experience held in beautiful locations around the world

For the first time ever, Boxwood Festival comes to Australia!

Boxwood Festival Australia offers a weekend of immersion in traditional music with tutors Chris Norman and David Greenberg. Classes, sessions, an evening performance, a ceilidh, great meals and accommodation are included. With a focus on Scottish, Irish, Cape Breton and early music, the deep connections between music, song and dance are at the heart of the program for this extraordinary weekend.
